Work in Progress
Although my day job is working on robots, I also help dolphins and other animals play video games! It started during my time at the Navy Marine Mammal Program (MMP), where I helped create the first ever computer vision system designed for dolphin gameplay. In the past two years, I've continued to develop these systems to make them work across species and environments while improving their ease of use with animal care professionals.
I work with Animal Computerized Enrichment (ACE), a company founded by Dr. Kelley Winship. Our system has been deployed to many facilities including SeaWorld San Diego, Sea Life Park, and Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Video games can be a powerful tool for enhancing animal welfare, and we're excited to see the impact our system can have.
